What is a mini split?
A mini split is a ductless heat pump. An outdoor unit moves heat into your home through refrigerant lines to a wall-mounted indoor unit. In summer it runs in reverse to cool.
Will a heat pump keep my home warm in a Homer winter?
Heat pumps lose output as outdoor temperatures drop, so sizing and model choice matter. Many homes here pair a heat pump with a wood stove or oil heater for the coldest days. Call us and we’ll help you plan the right setup.
How many indoor units do I need?
It depends on your floor plan and which rooms you want to heat and cool. An open space may need one unit, while closed-off rooms may each need their own.

Can I keep my wood stove or oil heater?
