Excel Direct, Ceiling Support/Firestop, 4"

The Ceiling Support/Firestop is the most common support. It can be used on any floor level. It is the
perfect choice when a structure hides the venting system. Simply screw the support to the framed
joist with four #8 x 1 1/2" wood screws or use four spiral nails, 2" long. The Ceiling Support/Firestop
acts as a firestop and a support when installed from below. It can also be installed above the joists;
however an additional firestop is required from below in this case.
