A wood stove keeps heating when the power goes out.

Wood stove questions (5)
What’s the difference between catalytic and non-catalytic wood stoves?
Catalytic stoves, like many Blaze King models, use a catalyst to burn off smoke at lower temperatures, which gives long, even burns. Non-catalytic stoves use extra air to burn cleanly and are simpler to run. We can help you decide which fits how you heat.
What size wood stove do I need?
It depends on the space you’re heating, the layout and how well the home holds heat. Bring your square footage and room layout to the showroom or call us, and we’ll help you size it.
Can I put a wood insert in my existing fireplace?
Usually, yes. An insert fits into a masonry or factory-built fireplace and vents up the chimney with a stainless steel liner, turning a drafty fireplace into an efficient heater.
What kind of wood should I burn?
Burn dry, seasoned firewood. Wet wood burns poorly, wastes heat and builds up creosote in your chimney faster.
How often should my chimney be cleaned?
Have it inspected at least once a year, and swept when it needs it. We offer chimney sweeps and camera inspections.
